About Dr. Wilson
I am one of only a handful of mental health specialist trained in fertility counseling in the Denver area. Through my close working relationships with fertility clinics, I have provided hundreds of individuals and couples (hetero and LBGTQ+) guidance and support as they explore all family building options. I have also helped women with other areas of their reproductive lives including PMS, high risk pregnancies, miscarriage/pregnancy loss, pregnancy terminations, post-partum adjustment, and menopause adjustment.
With the majority of clients, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help with life stressors, change, and to optimize overall health and well-being. I am also a certified telehealth provider which means I have completed specialized training in providing telehealth counseling.
As a private practitioner, I have close working relationships with fertility clinics, family medicine doctors, and ob-gyn practices in the Denver area. Since 2003, I have provided psychological consultations for clients interested in using third party reproductive assistance and I have extensive experience screening donors and gestational surrogates (screenings and consultations are also offered in Spanish). As a strong believer in optimal health and well-being, I have also help adults and seniors cope with newly diagnosed or on-going medical conditions. As a mental health provider for seniors, I offer individual counseling at my office, assisted living facilities/nursing homes and some home visit upon request.
I am a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). I am a past board of directors for the Colorado Fertility Advocates (CFA) and for the Reproductive Alliance. In the past, I have served as an oversight committee member for RESOLVE-a national infertility advocacy group and I have served as a board of trustee for the Texas Psychological Association.
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, my family and I have enjoyed making our home in beautiful Colorado.
